The commissioned work, Songs in the Air, a Christmas medley for mixed voices, children’s chorus (or descant), piano and strings, was premiered in December 2014. This sensitive and uplifting piece was greatly appreciated by both singers and audiences.

John’s compositional skills were evidenced by his many arrangements including ones for The National Anthem, America the Beautiful and Amazing Grace.
